The Story of
Wool-Pile:
Sheep, the size of elephants, have not been
developed ( yet???). To circumvent this problem,
the Sliverknit process was developed to produce
a fleece of any desired size. The
sequence begins when the wool is shorn from
the sheep. The wool is then cleaned and
treated by the Hercosett process to increase
its washability. This value added wool, is
then knitted into a backing material to produce
the Superwool Underlay.

are made from the wool of Merino sheep- the
source of the best fine wool in the world.
They are machine washable or can be dry cleaned.

for washing and disinfection of wool
